Mark Swaim has one goal: to introduce the world to an unmatched love for science and physics. As a high school teacher in McAllen, Texas, he loves opening up young minds and teaching them about the incredible wonders in space, black holes, and other physics topics that pertain to the universe around us. The mysteries of space have been a source of fascination to himself, and as he seeks to unravel the answers, he’s always hoping to find a few comrades or two to join him. This is why he helps out in after school clubs, helps set up the annual Science Fair, and encourages field trips to noteworthy space and science museums, to foster a love of space.

One of Mark Swaim’s most significant aims to improve the quality of education in the sciences within the school district and beyond. He wants to make sure that every child, teen, or adult is given access to scientific facts and knowledge as they need, allowing them to discover leagues beyond what they see and know in their immediate surroundings. He believes that science is the gateway to discovery and the aspirations that there are bigger and greater things in store for us all.
